Iran targets Gulf energy sites
The attack on Kuwait's largest refinery and the UAE's Habshan gas facility has sparked fears of a wider regional energy crisis.
Iran's Revolutionary Guard has also issued chilling threats against Western-backed tech assets, including a massive AI data center in Abu Dhabi.
These strikes appear intended to disrupt global energy supplies and demonstrate Iran's ability to strike back despite intensive Allied bombardment.
International law experts have expressed concern that targeting civilian infrastructure on both sides may constitute war crimes.
