Patrick Muldoon dies at 57

Muldoon first rose to fame as heartthrob Austin Reed on the long-running NBC soap opera, appearing in more than 400 episodes.

He later starred as the villainous Richard Hart on Melrose Place and had a memorable role in the cult sci-fi film Starship Troopers.

Tributes have poured in from former co-stars, including Lisa Rinna and Denise Richards, who remembered him as a beloved friend and talented performer.

His final public appearance was at an awards show just six weeks before his tragic passing.
