Microsoft offers voluntary buyouts
The buyout offer is available to employees at the senior director level and below whose age and years of service total 70 or more.
Microsoft is also implementing changes to how it awards bonuses and stock options as it shifts resources toward AI infrastructure.
This move follows a series of high-profile executive departures and slowing growth in the company's cloud unit.
The company intends to simplify its management structure while continuing to invest heavily in its partnership with OpenAI.
