Artemis II Captures Historic Earthset
The four astronauts aboard the Orion spacecraft have successfully completed their loop around the far side of the moon, capturing high-resolution photos of terrain never before seen by the human eye.
Among the most striking images is an 'Earthset' that mirrors the iconic 'Earthrise' photo from the 1968 Apollo 8 mission.
The crew also witnessed a rare solar eclipse from deep space while testing systems for future lunar landings.
The spacecraft is now on its return trajectory, with a scheduled splashdown in the Pacific Ocean this Friday.
