EU Unlocks €90bn Ukraine Loan

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky hailed the decision as a vital lifeline for his country's wartime economy and military operations.

The package is the first major EU aid agreement since the departure of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

In addition to the loan, the bloc finalized its 20th package of sanctions against Russia, targeting several major banks.

EU leaders are meeting in Cyprus to discuss further integration and the potential for Ukraine's full membership in the union.
