Putin Recalls Air Defenses to Moscow

Vladimir Putin has urgently recalled frontline defense systems to fortify Moscow after a series of humiliating Ukrainian drone strikes hit the Russian capital, marking a significant shift in the conflict's dynamics.

The 73-year-old president's move follows Ukrainian strikes that also targeted refineries, causing fuel rationing across much of Russia and forcing the government to consider importing fuel.

Russia's gasoline crunch has spread widely, with at least two-thirds of the country's regions suffering supply disruptions, while Crimea has tightened restrictions on public services and activities.

The developments come as Ukraine announced the destruction of a key railway bridge over the North Crimean Canal, further disrupting Russian logistics in occupied areas.
