French Peacekeeper Killed in Lebanon

Staff Sergeant Florian Montorio was killed while clearing mines from a road, an incident that has deepened instability in the region.

Three other peacekeepers were wounded in the same ambush, which occurred despite a fragile ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah.

While Hezbollah has denied responsibility, the international community has condemned the targeting of 'blue helmets.' The U.N. chief has warned that such attacks must stop to prevent a wider escalation of the conflict.
