WHCD shooting suspect details released

Federal prosecutors have released new images of Cole Tomas Allen, the man accused of attempting to assassinate President Donald Trump at a Washington press gala.

The photos include a mirror selfie allegedly taken in his hotel room just before the attack, showing him armed and suited for battle.

Investigators also released footage of the suspect running past metal detectors at the event before he was apprehended by the Secret Service.

Allen is facing multiple felony charges, including the attempted assassination of a sitting president and assaulting federal officers.
