Sara Cox replaces Scott Mills

Sara Cox, a long-time favorite on Radio 2, will move from her current teatime slot to host the station's flagship morning program later this summer.

The appointment follows the sudden exit of Scott Mills, who had presided over the show since 2019.

Cox expressed her excitement about the new role, which she had previously been overlooked for in favor of Zoe Ball.

The BBC has yet to announce who will fill the vacancy left by Cox on the drivetime show.
