Mitch Winehouse, acting as the administrator of his daughter's estate, sought over £70,000 in damages from Naomi Parry and Catriona Gourlay.

The court ruled that the friends had the right to sell the items, which included clothes and personal possessions gifted to them by the star.

Parry and Gourlay expressed relief at the verdict, stating that the public misrepresentation of their relationship with Winehouse had been 'painful and profoundly unjust.' The items sold for a total of $1.2 million, with proceeds intended for various charitable causes.
