Brazil ex-spy chief detained
The arrest of Alexandre Ramagem by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) marks the end of a six-month international manhunt.
The former congressman and ally of Jair Bolsonaro was convicted of plotting to prevent President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva from taking office.
Ramagem is currently being held in Florida pending extradition proceedings to Brazil.
His capture is a major victory for Brazilian authorities seeking accountability for the events surrounding the 2022 election and subsequent unrest.
