Saudi Arabia executes seven
The executions have drawn condemnation from international human rights organizations, who have long criticized the lack of transparency in the Saudi judicial system.
Despite recent efforts to project a more modern image, the kingdom continues to carry out death sentences for non-violent offenses.
The move comes as Saudi Arabia also deals with regional security threats, including drone attacks allegedly launched from Iraq.
The energy ministry separately announced that it has restored full capacity to its East-West pipeline following recent strikes.
