Artemis II Captures Historic Moon Photos
The astronauts aboard the Orion spacecraft traveled further from Earth than any humans in history, reaching a distance of over 250,000 miles.
During their seven-hour flyby, the crew observed and photographed lunar terrain that has remained largely unseen by human eyes.
The mission also provided a rare perspective of a total solar eclipse as seen from deep space.
These findings establish a critical scientific baseline for the planned crewed lunar landing in two years.
