South Sudan plane crash kills 14

A Cessna 208 Caravan aircraft crashed on the outskirts of Juba, South Sudan, on Monday, resulting in the deaths of all 14 people on board.

The flight, which originated in Yei, lost communication with air traffic control shortly before the accident.

Preliminary reports from the South Sudan Civil Aviation Authority suggest that poor visibility and adverse weather conditions were significant factors in the crash.

The victims included both South Sudanese and Kenyan nationals, and an official investigation has been launched to determine the precise cause of the tragedy.
