US blockades Iranian ports

The U.S. Navy began enforcing a full blockade of Iran’s southern coastline on Monday after 21 hours of marathon talks in Pakistan failed to produce a breakthrough.

The operation aims to economically pressure Tehran into reopening the Strait of Hormuz, which has been largely closed to global maritime traffic for over a month.

While President Trump maintains that dialogue remains possible, he has insisted on a total suspension of Iran’s nuclear program as a non-negotiable condition.

International law experts and global allies have raised concerns regarding the legality and economic sustainability of the maneuver.
