Artemis II crew heads for Moon
After spending a full day orbiting Earth, the four-person crew aboard the Orion spacecraft fired their engines for six minutes to set a course for the moon.
The successful burn commits the mission to a lunar fly-around, which is expected to take place this coming Monday.
The crew, consisting of three Americans and one Canadian, will travel farther into space than any humans in history.
Despite minor technical hurdles including a temporary toilet malfunction and email issues, NASA officials confirmed all systems are now operational.
