Sudan war enters fourth year

The devastating conflict in Sudan has reached a grim three-year milestone with no end in sight to the fighting between the national army and paramilitary forces.

Over 13 million people have been forced to flee their homes, and tens of thousands have been killed in massacres across the country.

Aid workers report that starvation is being used as a weapon of war, with critical food supplies and community kitchens failing due to lack of funding.

Despite the scale of the humanitarian catastrophe, officials lament that Sudan has become a forgotten theater of violence on the world stage.
