Péter Magyar to Arrest Netanyahu
Magyar, whose Tisza party won a landslide victory, stated that Hungary will remain a committed member of the ICC and uphold its international legal obligations.
The announcement comes as he prepares to meet with regional allies, including Poland's Donald Tusk, to discuss a new diplomatic direction for Budapest.
Outgoing Prime Minister Orbán had previously initiated a withdrawal from the court and invited Netanyahu to visit despite the warrant.
This shift signals a significant realignment of Hungary's foreign policy within the European Union.
