Ian Huntley cremated in secret

Infamous child murderer Ian Huntley has been cremated in a secret ceremony without a funeral service or any mourners in attendance.

Huntley died in a hospital nine days after being brutally attacked with a metal pole by a fellow inmate at HMP Frankland.

Prison authorities confirmed that the remains were disposed of in accordance with strict security protocols to prevent any public disturbance.

The 51-year-old was serving two life sentences for the 2002 murders of schoolgirls Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman, a case that remains one of the most notorious in British criminal history.
