ICE agent charged with assault

Gregory Donnell Morgan Jr. faces two counts of second-degree assault following an incident in February where he allegedly brandished a gun at motorists on a congested highway.

The charges were filed by Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty, who emphasized that federal agents are not immune from state laws.

The incident occurred during Operation Metro Surge, a controversial federal crackdown that saw thousands of agents deployed to Minnesota cities.

A nationwide warrant has been issued for Morgan's arrest as the investigation into the agency's conduct continues.
