FIFA COO sacked after Infantino criticism

FIFA's chief operating officer Kevin Lamour has left the organization after publicly criticizing President Gianni Infantino's plan to sell a stake in World Cup rights.

Lamour had accused Infantino of deceiving staff over the now-shelved proposal.

The Scottish FA has withdrawn its support for Infantino, and human rights group FairSquare has urged FIFA to rule him ineligible for another term.

The Asian Football Confederation is also facing a rift with Qatar over the handling of the crisis.
