Dave Mason dies at 79

The music world is mourning the loss of Dave Mason, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee who passed away peacefully at his home in Nevada.

Mason rose to fame in the 1960s with Traffic before embarking on a solo career that produced the platinum-selling album 'Alone Together.' Throughout his remarkable life, he performed and recorded with legends including Jimi Hendrix, Fleetwood Mac, and the Rolling Stones.

His family confirmed his death follows a period of declining health that forced him to cancel his remaining tour dates last summer.
