Trump hosts UFC fighters

President Donald Trump hosted several top UFC fighters in the Oval Office on Wednesday to promote an upcoming fight night on the White House lawn.

The event, scheduled for June 14, will help mark the 250th anniversary of the United States and the president's 80th birthday.

Trump met with champions Alex Pereira and Ilia Topuria, as well as stars Justin Gaethje and Ciryl Gane, to review renderings of the proposed Octagon layout.

The president, a longtime friend of UFC boss Dana White, described the fighters as 'animals' and expressed his excitement for the historic showcase.

Critics have questioned the use of the White House grounds for a commercial sporting event, while fans are eagerly anticipating the unique spectacle.
