Norovirus Outbreak on San Francisco Cruise

More than 100 passengers and approximately 23 crew members on a Princess Cruises ship fell sick from suspected norovirus, according to the CDC. The vessel, the Ruby Princess, docked in San Francisco for disinfection in what marks the third outbreak for the company this year.

The ship had been on a 20-day voyage through Alaska and Canada before the outbreak.

Symptoms included diarrhea and vomiting, and the cruise line isolated affected passengers and crew.
