Trump Seeks Birthright Citizenship Rehearing
President Trump said he will ask the Supreme Court to rehear a case challenging his executive order curtailing birthright citizenship, a long-shot bid to reverse the court’s rejection of one of his signature policies.
The court last month struck down Trump’s attempt to restrict automatic citizenship for nearly all children born on US soil.
Trump alleged that billboards advertising ‘birthright citizenship’ for as little as $4,000 had appeared along the US-Mexico border.
The move signals his determination to keep the issue alive ahead of the midterm elections.
