Senator Chris Coons Injured in Car Crash

Democratic Senator Chris Coons was briefly hospitalised with minor injuries after a multi-vehicle crash in Delaware on Saturday.

The accident was triggered by another driver who suffered a medical emergency, colliding with several cars, including one in which Coons was a passenger.

Coons was treated at Beebe Hospital and released, expecting to make a full recovery.

The senator expressed gratitude to first responders and said he was fortunate to escape serious harm.
