Vance Leads Peace Talks in Pakistan
Vance will be joined by special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner as they meet with Iranian representatives in Islamabad.
The Vice President has characterized the current situation as a 'fragile truce' and warned that the U.S. will use its economic leverage if Iran fails to negotiate in good faith.
However, President Trump has suggested that Vance may not attend the in-person sessions due to ongoing security concerns in the region.
The outcome of these discussions will be critical in determining if the two-week ceasefire can be turned into a durable peace agreement.
