London Marathon sets entry record

The London Marathon has shattered its own world record for applications, with 1,338,544 people entering the public ballot for the 2027 race.

This total represents nearly 2% of the entire UK adult population and more than doubles the demand seen just two years ago.

Event organizers have hailed the 'astonishing' figures as proof that the race is the most sought-after marathon in the world.
