Emirates posts record annual profit

Emirates has achieved a record annual profit of $5.7 billion, demonstrating remarkable resilience despite the severe impact of the war in Iran on Middle Eastern aviation.

The airline group reported that it has restored nearly its entire global network after the conflict forced the temporary closure of regional airspace and sent fuel costs soaring.

CEO Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum stated that the company is well-hedged against fuel volatility through 2029.

The results underscore Dubai's continued dominance as a global transit hub, even as neighboring conflicts disrupt traditional trade and travel routes.
