Mass shooting shakes Kyiv

Ukrainian authorities are investigating a deadly shooting rampage in Kyiv as a potential act of terrorism.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that the suspect, a 58-year-old local resident born in Moscow, was eliminated after a 40-minute standoff with security forces.

The attack began when the gunman set his own apartment on fire before opening fire on civilians in the street and moving into a grocery store.

Investigators are now examining whether the attack was directed by Russian intelligence services or was the act of a lone individual.
