Kyiv Police Neutralize Supermarket Gunman

A rare mass shooting in the Ukrainian capital left at least six civilians dead and several others wounded on Saturday.

The assailant, who initially opened fire on a street, barricaded himself inside a supermarket with multiple hostages for nearly an hour.

Interior Ministry officials confirmed that tactical teams moved in after a negotiator failed to secure a peaceful surrender.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed his condolences to the victims' families as investigators work to determine the gunman's motive.
