Buffett Halts Gates Foundation Donations

Warren Buffett has halted his annual donations to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, instead directing nearly $6 billion to family-linked charities, following revelations of the foundation's ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The move ends a two-decade tradition of giving that had made Buffett one of the foundation's most significant benefactors.

The decision follows an outside legal review of the charity's connections to Epstein, whose reputation has been further tarnished since the U.S. Department of Justice released files about him in February.
