Three Firefighters Killed in Colorado-Utah Blaze

Three firefighters were killed while working to contain wildfires along the Utah-Colorado border over the weekend.

The victims were part of a specialized helicopter-deployed crew trying to shield themselves from flames as high winds and temperatures continued to fuel the blaze.

The Cottonwood Fire tore through part of Eagle Point Resort in southern Utah, forcing its evacuation and closure.

The deaths mark one of the deadliest wildfire incidents for first responders in the region this year.
