Trump Announces Israel-Lebanon Talks

President Donald Trump announced late Wednesday that the leaders of Israel and Lebanon are scheduled to speak for the first time in decades to seek 'breathing room' in their ongoing conflict.

This diplomatic breakthrough comes as the Trump administration continues to manage a broader war with Iran, which has seen the implementation of a naval blockade in the Strait of Hormuz.

While Lebanese officials have expressed cautious optimism, no formal confirmation of the meeting has been issued by either side.

Mediation efforts led by Pakistan are also underway to extend existing truces and prevent further economic and military escalation.
