U.S. Seizes Iranian Cargo Ship
Tensions between Washington and Tehran reached a new flashpoint on Sunday as the U.S. Navy Guided Missile Destroyer USS Spruance intercepted the Iranian cargo ship Touska.
President Trump confirmed that American forces used disabling fire to stop the vessel after it allegedly attempted to breach a naval blockade near the Strait of Hormuz.
This military action marks the first confirmed use of force against commercial shipping since the blockade was established last week.
The incident occurs just as a fragile two-week ceasefire is set to expire, casting doubt on upcoming diplomatic efforts.
