Artemis II crew returns home

Artemis II crew returns home

The mission, which brought humans the farthest they have ever traveled into deep space, is being hailed as a major milestone for the Artemis program.

Astronauts Christina Koch and Victor Glover were greeted by cheering neighbors and family members upon their return to Earth.

The mission's success has paved the way for future lunar landings and the eventual goal of human exploration of Mars.

NASA is already analyzing data from the flight to prepare for Artemis III, which will aim to put the first woman and person of color on the lunar surface.
