Microsoft Hikes Xbox Prices Again

Microsoft confirmed on Thursday that it will raise prices on Xbox Series X and S consoles for the third time, citing the relentless rise in memory and storage component costs that have reshaped the consumer electronics market over the past year.

The increases, effective in August, will add between $100 and $150 to the retail price of each console model.

In a sign of the supply constraints, the company also announced it would discontinue the 2TB storage variant entirely.

The price hikes mirror similar moves by Apple and reflect the profound impact that the AI industry's datacenter expansion is having on the broader semiconductor supply chain.
