JetBlue Flight Hits Drone Near JFK

A JetBlue Airways pilot reported hitting a drone while approaching John F. Kennedy International Airport on Monday.

The plane landed safely, and the FAA is investigating.

The pilot of the Airbus A321 reported the strike at approximately 3,000 feet altitude during final approach.

The incident came less than three days after a United Airlines crew reported a similar drone encounter near Newark Liberty International Airport.
