Five killed in Michigan shooting spree

Police in northern Michigan responded to reports of a shooting spree that left five people dead at two separate locations, with the suspected gunman, 39-year-old Chad Hickman, later found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after a manhunt.

A sixth victim was discovered at one of the scenes, bringing the total fatalities to six including the suspect.

Authorities said Hickman knew the victims, though a motive has not yet been released.

The shootings have shocked the small community and prompted an investigation into how the suspect obtained his weapons.
