Claire’s shuts all UK stores

The iconic high street retailer Claire's Accessories has officially ceased all standalone operations in the UK and Ireland.

Administrators confirmed that 154 shops have closed their doors, resulting in the immediate redundancy of approximately 1,300 employees.

The collapse follows months of financial struggle and the failure of last-ditch rescue efforts to secure new investment for the chain.

While the company's 356 concessions in other retailers like Asda will remain unaffected for now, the closure of its independent stores marks a major blow to the British retail landscape.
