Bondi shooting inquiry report

An interim report into the Bondi Beach mass shooting has called for increased security at Jewish public events and further gun reforms in Australia.

The inquiry found that while legal frameworks were sufficient, intelligence spending had significantly shifted away from counter-terrorism.

Commissioner Virginia Bell noted that a Jewish security group had warned of a "high" threat just days before the December attack.

The report contains 14 recommendations aimed at improving agency coordination and protecting the community during religious holidays.
