OpenAI to Release GPT-5.6

OpenAI will publicly launch its most capable artificial intelligence model, GPT-5.6, on Thursday after the Trump administration lifted restrictions imposed over national security concerns.

The release had been delayed last month at the U.S. government’s request amid fears that powerful AI systems could be misused.
