Pentagon Seeks Record $1.5 Trillion

The U.S. Department of Defense is requesting its largest budget in history to address evolving global threats and replenish munitions stockpiles.

The $1.5 trillion plan earmarks $75 billion for autonomous drone programs and significant funding for the high-tech Golden Dome defense initiative.

However, officials have admitted that the true cost of the Iran conflict, which has already depleted nearly half of the nation's Patriot missile interceptors, is not reflected in these figures.

The request now faces a skeptical Congress as lawmakers debate the sustainability of such massive military expenditures.
