Sam Neill is cancer-free

Sam Neill has shared the joyous news that he has successfully defeated stage 3 blood cancer after a grueling five-year struggle.

The veteran actor revealed that he participated in an Australian clinical trial for CAR T-cell therapy, a treatment involving genetically modified blood cells, after traditional chemotherapy failed.

Neill described his recovery as 'extraordinary' and is now advocating for the treatment to be made more widely available to other cancer patients.

He expressed his eagerness to return to the film set, marking an end to what he called a 'pretty miserable business' of illness.
