Honduras attacks kill 16
At least 16 people, including six police officers, have been killed in two separate armed attacks on the coast of Honduras.
The first incident targeted workers at a plantation in Trujillo, while the second involved a deadly raid on a police unit.
Authorities have yet to identify a clear motive, though the region has a long history of violent agrarian conflict.
The government has deployed additional security forces to the area as concerns mount over the state's ability to contain rising violence.
