Nepal-Tibet floods kill 165, hundreds missing

A glacial lake outburst flood on the Nepal-Tibet border has caused widespread devastation, killing at least 362 people with around 1,000 still missing.

The disaster has affected people from more than 30 countries, including India, the US, and the UK. Rescue efforts are ongoing, with the UK pledging £5 million in aid and King Charles expressing his heartbreak.

The flood also destroyed a hydroelectric dam under construction and created new lakes downstream that pose fresh flood risks.
