Russian Warship Fires Warning Shots at British Yacht

The Russian frigate Admiral Grigorovich fired warning shots at the UK-registered yacht Bright Future in the English Channel south of the Isle of Wight.

Russia claimed the yacht was making a 'dangerous approach' and failed to respond to warnings, while the UK Ministry of Defence said the shots were not aimed at the vessel.

The British couple aboard, Jane and Alan Kelvey, described the encounter as 'scary.' The incident comes just days after British commandos boarded a sanctioned Russian tanker in the same waters.
