Bangkok Pub Fire Kills at Least 27

A massive fire engulfed a popular pub in northern Bangkok early Monday, killing at least 27 people and injuring dozens more.

Thai authorities are investigating the cause of the blaze, which trapped many victims inside the venue.

The fire broke out around midnight at the Rong Beer Na Lat Phrao pub near the Chatuchak district, with witnesses reporting smoke coming from a circuit breaker near the stage before an explosion.

Many victims were found in the restrooms at the back of the venue, and authorities are probing whether adequate escape routes were available.
