Royal Mail scraps Saturday second class

The deal will see second class post delivered every other weekday as the company attempts to modernize its operations.

First class deliveries and special delivery services will remain unaffected by the change.

Union members are set to be consulted on the agreement, which also includes a new pay deal for postal workers.

The reform aims to provide a more sustainable financial future for the postal service while adapting to the growth of the parcel delivery market.
