Lebanese journalist killed by Israel

Khalil, a reporter for the Al-Akhbar newspaper, was taking cover in a house when it was hit by what officials described as a 'double-tap' strike.

A photojournalist accompanying her was also seriously wounded in the attack.

Lebanon's Prime Minister Nawaf Salam has condemned the targeting of journalists as a systematic approach by the Israeli military.

The incident occurred shortly before a second round of ceasefire extension talks was scheduled to begin in Washington.
